What i think the symbol in Emma is?

In the book Emma I think that the symbol representing this book would be a diamond ring. My reason for this would be that in this book i would say that they are living a nice and fancy life style. Also a diamond ring is a fancy and nice thing. I also think that the symbol can also be the an antique because this book was written in 1861 and it has to deal with some old lifestyles. At the same itme this book has a few modern things going on in it.

HI!!!!!!!!!!! Your blog is pretty!! Did you made the symbol up for the book or was it a symbol the author used??? I think the symbol really fit the book, because diamond is both modern, old-fashion and fancy. Good job:D

I agree with what zhao said, and like her, I'm wondering whether or not the diamond ring was a symbol in the book, or whether or not you just made it up?

I remember reading Jessica's blog, and she said that diamonds could be used as a symbol in her book, but she used the diamond ring to represent marriage. so yeahh. i find it cool how one thing (the diamond ring) could be used to represent two different ideas.

ehh. I hope that made sense =/

~ I like your blog~ ! I like how you interpreted the diamond as a symbol of the time and antique-ness. Maybe the diamond ring can mean more that?! like what elizabeth said about marriange.
