How i feel that the book Prep relates to us freshmen

I believe this book relates to us freshmen by the fact that the protagonist is a freshmen. Also shes new so that she would not have known anyone in the school even after a while. I think that she relates to us because i would say at first all of us were quiet and that she is quiet in the beginning of the school year. Also we know how it feels to be a freshmen because i would say that were not treated the best cause we are freshmen. I mean in the beginning of her school year she was a loner until someone actually talked to her. That is also how us freshmen are in the beginning of the year.

yes, I do agree that Freshmen are like that especially since they're considered the "babies" of HS.

I actually picked that book out for a friend of mine, and I read the summary of it, the inside flap thing.

Seems good, and I remember reading about her point of view and how she found the relationships of people, especially boyfriends/girlfriends.

true. true.
yea i think that she can relate to us too, because at first when we saw each other we were all like "uhhhh *walks away*"....or like "umm...hi? whats...your name..?"
things were liek awkward then until we actually all got used to each other and like...i think that we don't even have to be shy, because we know that everyone else is liek us too, SHY. so if shy people meet shy people...arent they the same? idk lol im just blabbing :D

HEY Meher,
It seems lie this book is cool to read because we can relate to it.i agree with you about the fact that everyone is shy in the begining and that we all are treated somewhat differently because we are freshman. Enjoy the book- i hope i get a chance to read it.

Your book I think most of us can relate to in the 9th grade, because as you said the main character is a freshman and we are all freshman. Even though I didnt read the book, I think that most 9th graders would enjoy the book because its easy to relate to. Also, one of my friends is also reading this book and she also really enjoys it. Enjoy reading the book! :)

i didn't know you were reading this book too
i thought the book would be easy to relate to, like u did and i chose it for the same reason
I agree with what you said about her being a loner and i would go on about what i think of Lee, on the subject of her shyness, but it's all in my blog already...

yea thats how us freshman are. But once we start talking to other people, the become less and less lonely. And so what if the other grades treat us like that, most of us wont treat the incoming freshman, because we know how they feel. The only time we would do that is like for example the pie eating contest....3rds not bad.....

Even though i didn't read this book, I can relate to this, being a freshman in high-school isn't that great, we are like the babies of high-school. I hope you enjoy reading the book.

I agree with what you said about freshmen being all quiet in the beginning of the year. We were all shy (well most of us anyways), and acted all awkward because we didn't know anybody. But now, most people know each other because we've spent like 1/2 a year together. So, I didn't read the book "Prep" or anything, but people have told me that the book goes through 4 years of high school, so my guess is that you'll see how her attitude about school, and her shyness change. yeah.

I agree with the fact that it can relate to us freshmen when we just started a this new school. In someone else's blog, I don't remember who, I saw that they said we can't relate to the freshie in Prep because we aren't going to a boarding school.
